According to Forbes, Beyonce earned $40 million last year, while Jay-Z pulled in an esti-mated $38 million.

The couple came in at second place last year, with supermodel Gisele Bündchen and her husband Tom Brady coming in first.

According to Forbes, Jay and Beyoncé earned a combined $78 million between May 2011 and May 2012, a large chunk of which presumably was thanks to the success of the Watch The Throne tour.

Gisele and her super hubby came in second this year ($72 million), followed by Victoria and David Beckham ($54 million) and actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are fourth. Jolie made about $20 million over the last year, and Brad took in about $25 million.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith round out the top five, combining for about $40 million in earnings over the last year.
