Marriage proposals gone wrong (VIDEO) NY Rangers marriage proposal in-game entertainment. A devoted hockey fan wanted to propose to his girlfriend in a unique way. He took her to a New York Rangers Hockey game and arranged it so that his proposal would be viewable on the scoreboard.

He thought his girl would love it, be swayed by the romantic moment, and say “yes” and stadium crowd  would then join him in celebrating their happiness.

The scoreboard dispalyed “Melissa, will you be my Blueshirt bride? Love, Nick”.

Melissa was naturally shocked by the proposal and expressed her unbelief with an open mouth, and then abruptly picked up her handbag, seemingly shaking her head in denial, and left the stadium.

What a horrific moment for Nick, whose embarrassment was beyond measure.
