'You cannot do this now' (Video) Footy Show proposal rejection. A marriage proposal that went horribly wrong on Aussie national television has been revealed as a fake.

Channel 9 has admitted the embarrassing incident during a live broadcast of The Footy Show from South Bank’s Suncorp Piazza was a stunt.

She freaks out, begins to panic and shout "You cannot do this now" before running off stage.

A Channel 9 spokeswoman said: "It was a set up to have a go at Fatty(host Paul Vautin) because it was his 50th birthday on Tuesday. He wasn’t in on it."

Oh those crazy Aussies.
