Worlds first lumpy tablet [VIDEO] is developed, When you can't feel individual keys on a touchscreen device it can be hard to type at speed.
Tha's why one company has developed a method for morphing flat keyboard buttons on tablets into a lumpy tactile experience.
These buttons are raised when you require them to type and sink back into the tablet when you are finished.

Tactus Technology created a method of turning touch screens “lumpy,” reports the BBC. The flat screens develop keys the rise when a keyboard is needed for allowing for haptic feedback that currently isn't available on tablets and smartphones that do not have a physical QWERTY keyboard.
The technology utilizes a “thin multi-layer stack” that overlays the touch sensor and display. The layer on top is an “optically transparent polymer” that bulges when microfluids travel through micro channels and holes in lower layers. The fluid creates buttons that are defined and can be depressed like ones on a normal keyboard. The clear fluid allows users to see the underlying display through the raised shapes.
It seems we are seeing a lot more “tactile” screen engagement technology. Or maybe it’s just me.
When you think about experience technology, and how the real world just keeps getting closer to the virtual world, it’s stuff like this that is right there for us to touch.
Check out their demo video of the Tactus Morphing Tactile display below. You can also see video and watch Micah Yairi from Tactus explain how it works.
